If you don’t hear anything at all through your computer’s speakers, your Windows 10 audio services may not be responding. This problem usually occurs when the audio device is not responding. This is a fairly common problem that can be solved effectively through some familiar troubleshooting steps.

Restart the computer before performing any of the recommended troubleshooting actions below. This action refreshes the operating system and removes the corrupted temporary data that could be causing the problem.

Try restarting audio services

The first thing to do in this case is to restart the audio service. This process updates the audio service and usually fixes the problem.

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
