Several factors can cause this particular problem, from interference from an antivirus program to missing files. Here are the steps to follow to solve this problem.

Change in target priority 2

One of the most common reasons for this problem is that gambling is not considered a priority. Try to set priorities at a high level.

  • Start Destiny 2 on your computer.
  • Press Windows + D to start the desktop while the game is still in progress.
  • Press Windows + R, type taskmgr in the dialog box, and press Enter.
  • Click on the Detailstab, find all Destiny and Network items. Since Destiny 2 runs in Battle.net, you’ll also need to change the priority.
  • Right click on each item, move the mouse pointer to the set priority and set it to Above Normal or High. Do it for all your files
  • Alt-Tab to your game and start playing.

Check whether the fault still exists.

Disable antivirus

One of the factors that can cause this problem is interference from an antivirus program. To check if this is the case, disable the antivirus program.

If you are using Windowsprotection

  • Select StartupSettings> Updates and Securityy – Windows SecurityAntivirus and Threat Protection > Control Settings
  • Turn off real-time protection.

If you are using Avast.

  • Find the Avast icon in your computer’s system tray and right-click on it.
  • Click Avast Control Panels.
  • Look for options to disable the program – the options are to disable the program for 10 minutes, an hour until you restart the computer, or permanently (until you turn it back on yourself). Choose the option that suits you best, and then disable the program.

When using the AVG

  • Find the AVG icon in your computer’s system tray and right-click on it.
  • Click to temporarily disable AVGprotection.
  • Select how long you want AVG to shut down and whether you want AVG to shut down the firewall as well.
  • Press OK to turn off the antivirus program.

When using McAfee

  • Find the McAfee Antivirus icon on your computer’s taskbar and right-click on it.
  • Press output .
  • A dialog box should appear to warn you that McAfee protection will be disabled. In this dialog box, click Yes to disable the antivirus program.

Check if the problem still exists.

Grant Administrator Access Destiny 2

Sometimes this problem is solved if you give the administrator access to the game.

  • Navigate to the directory where your Battle.net is installed on your computer.
  • If you are in the Battle.net folder, right-click on the following entries and select Properties. Battle.net Launching, Battle.net.
  • In Properties, select the Compatibility tab and check Run this program as an administrator.
  • Do this for all the entries listed.
  • Go to folder Destiny 2 and perform the same procedure for the exe.
  • Save the changes and exit.
  • Restart the computer and play the game.

See if you have any problems playing.

Switch off gear

Overclocking allows your computer to operate at a much higher performance level, resulting in a better gaming experience. However, the downside is that it can cause heating problems, so you should try to disable overclocking on your computer.

Update graphics driver

If your computer does not have the latest graphics drivers installed, this is probably the cause of the problem.

If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, follow these steps.

  • Press Win+R (Windows logo key and the R key) simultaneously to call up the Run window.
  • Type msconfig and press OK. Then the system settings area opens.
  • When the system configuration opens, go to register Boot. Under Boot Options, tick the Safe boot box and press OK.
  • When you are prompted to restart the computer to apply these changes, press Restart , and you will enter Safe Mode.
  • Open your local drive by clicking on This PC , then on Local Drive C. Here you should see the NVIDIA folder. Right click and select Delete.
  • Click Run and enter Run. Choose Run, the Run dialog box appears.
  • Type devmgmt.msc in the startup box and click OK , which should open the Device Manager window.
  • Expand Field Display Adapter . This list shows all network adapters installed on the device. Right-click on the Nvidia adapter you want to remove and select Delete.
  • Press OK when prompted to remove the device. This removes the adapter from the list and removes the driver.
  • Press Win+R (Windows logo key and the R key) simultaneously to call up the Run window.
  • Type msconfig and press OK. Then the system settings area opens.
  • When the system configuration opens, go to register Boot. In the Boot Options section, disable Secure Boot and click OK.
  • When you are prompted to restart the computer to apply these changes, press Restart.
  • Download the latest NVIDIA driver for your computer here: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx.
  • Run the installation file and follow the instructions on screen. Select the Custom Installation option and select all check boxes in the Custom Installation Options fields. Also check the box to perform a clean install.
  • Restart your computer

If you have an AMD graphics card, follow these steps.

  • Download the AMD cleaning program at https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-601.
  • Find the file where it was saved and double-click the AMDCleanupUtility.exe file.
  • A dialog box should appear indicating that the AMD Cleaning Utility has detected that the system is in unsafe mode, with an option to restart the system to run the utility in safe mode :
  • Press Yes , the system will reboot and the AMD Cleaning Utility will operate in safe mode.
  • The next dialog box will show a warning that the AMD Cleanup utility will remove all components and applications of the AMD driver.
  • Press OK to continue.
  • After pressing the OK key, the utility resizes to the system tray and displays the progress as a tooltip.
  • The cleaning process continues in the background.  To check the progress, move the mouse over the AMD icon in the taskbar.
  • When the cleaning process is complete, a success message is displayed. Click View Report to display the list of removed components, otherwise click Done to exit the utility.
  • Restart the computer.

Once you have removed the drivers, it is time to install the latest driver update. This can be done with the AMD Driver Auto Detect tool, which can be downloaded from https://www.amd.com/en/support.

  • Visit AMD’s Drivers and Support page for information on how to automatically detect and install Radeon graphics drivers for Windows.
  • Press the DOWNLOAD NOW key to start downloading the executable file from the device.
  • Once the download is complete, run the file to start the installation program.
  • Press Install to extract the required files.
  • When the extraction of the files is complete, the program should start automatically.
  • Read the end user license agreement and user upgrade program information.
  • Click the Accept button and set to continue, or close the window to exit the AMD Pilot Auto Detection Tool.
  • After you click Accept and Install, the program will try to detect the installed AMD graphics product and operating system.
  • After successfully detecting your system configuration, the utility displays the latest recommended and additional driver packages compatible with your graphics product, as well as the currently installed driver version.
  • Select the desired version and choose Express Installation.
  • After downloading the driver package, the installation should start automatically.
  • Restart the computer

If you have integrated graphics card (Intel)

  • Press the + R key in the Windows logo to start the Run application.
  • Type devmgmt.msc in the Run dialog box and press Enter to start Device Manager.
  • In Device Manager, expand the display adapters.
  • Right-click the graphics drivers, click Uninstall, and start the uninstall wizard to remove the drivers.
  • Restart your computer. Once the computer boots up, it should automatically reinstall the same version of the graphics drivers.

Make sure the problem with Destiny 2 still exists.

How can I prevent Destiny 2 from failing?

Destiny 2 Crash PC Fix : Crash at startup, PC crashes on the desktop….

Why is Destiny 2 collapsing?

A high clock frequency of the hardware components can weaken the stability of the programs. And that could be the cause of the game’s failure. If you have overclocked components, such as CPU, RAM or GPU, set the default clock speed.

What should I do if the program continues to plant?

If the program crashes after an update – or even after another program update – try reinstalling an old version that worked fine. If you cannot find a copy of an older version, use the system restore function to reset the system to an earlier date.
