NVIDIA is a popular company in the gaming community because it makes some of the best graphics cards for computers. There is also software that allows you to play games with settings optimized for your current computer. Although the company manufactures solid products, sometimes problems can occur, which we will address today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series, we look at an optimization problem in a GeForce Experience game.

Before following the recommended troubleshooting steps for this particular problem, try restarting your computer. This allows you to update the operating system, remove corrupted temporary data and fix most software problems quite effectively.

There are several reasons for this problem, from corrupted files to corrupted drivers. Here are the steps to follow to solve this problem.

Delete User Configuration Files

These files are created by Geforce Experience to guide you through the user experience. If these files are damaged, there is a good chance that this problem will occur. Try removing these files from your computer. Don’t worry, once the software detects these missing files, new ones will be created.

  • Press Windows + R, type taskmgr and press Enter.
  • In Task Manager, search for all GeForce tasks and stop them. Make sure the application is not running before proceeding.
  • Press Windows + R to start Run.
  • Type %appdata% in the dialog box and press Enter.
  • Press AppData in the address bar at the top of the screen to go to the previous page. Then open the Local folder.
  • Open the folder titled NVIDIA Corporation.
  • Go to GeForce Experience and permanently delete the CefCache folder.
  • Restart the computer .
