GeForce is one of NVIDIA’s most popular brands of graphics cards and is preferred by many gamers. If you have an NVIDIA graphics card installed in your computer, you probably also have NVIDIA Experience software. There are several tools to optimize gameplay. Although it is stable software, sometimes problems can occur. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series, we take a look at the GeForce experience that crashed while preparing to install the display.

Restart the computer before performing any of the recommended troubleshooting actions below. This will update the operating system and remove any temporary corrupted data that may be causing the problem.

One of the main causes of this problem is a software bug. Here are the recommended troubleshooting steps to follow to resolve the issue.

Experience with GeForceAdministrative experience

Occasionally, the GeForce Experience software may require a higher resolution to make certain changes. If you run it without administrator rights, this problem may occur. This can be fixed by right-clicking on the GeForce Experience desktop icon and then clicking the Start as Administrator button.

Try reinstalling the updated graphics driver. Check if the GeForce Experience freezes when preparing the monitor output.

Disable real time virus scanning

Sometimes the antivirus software installed on your computer is so strict that it prevents you from making changes to your computer’s registry. This is usually a problem because GeForce Experience usually needs to write to the computer’s registry to install updates. To solve this problem, you can try disabling the real-time scanning feature of the antivirus software.

Windows Security

  • Select Start and go to Settings .
  • Go to Update and Security , then Windows SecurityProtect against viruses and threatsManage settings.
  • Turn off real-time security

If you use third-party antivirus software, refer to their documentation for information on how to disable their real-time protection.
