How To Fix Kindle Not Showing Up On PC Issue

  • Select the second option Search for drivers on the computer.
  • Select the Allow me to choose from a list of available drivers for my computer option.
  • Select Portable Devices and search the list until you find the MTP driver. You can uncheck Show only compatible drivers to get a longer list. Restart the computer after you have made the changes.

  • Press Windows + R to start the computer. In the Control Panel dialog box, type and press Enter.
  • Select equipment and sound from the list of categories.

  • Go to Advanced Settings and tap the Edit advanced power settings button.
  • Find USB settings in the options list and click to expand. You will see another name called USB Selective Suspend Settings. Click again to enlarge it and select Disconnect in both cases (Battery on and Connection on). Save the changes and exit.
  • Restart your computer and Kindle device.
