PUBG or PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is one of the most popular multiplayer online royalty fighting games available for Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms. The fast-paced action and combative play style that requires tactics and strategy made it a must play. Although it is a solid game, sometimes problems can occur. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series, we’ll show you how to fix the problem of PUBG blocking in the loading screen.

Before you perform any of the recommended troubleshooting actions for this particular problem, restart your computer. This will update your operating system and fix the most common problems with your computer.

Software update for game

The first thing to do in this case is to make sure the game software is updated, as the update will likely include improvements and bug fixes. To update the game manually, you need to find the game in Library -> Right click -> Properties -> Local files -> Check the integrity of the game files.

Check if PUBG is stuck in the loading screen.

Delete GameUserSettings.ini

Try deleting the GameUserSettings.ini file on your computer. This file contains player configurations and settings that, if corrupted, could cause this problem.

  • Close all running applications and games. Go to the next folder: C::UserID} { “device” means a computer that has been configured to perform a task on a computer.
  • Delete the file GameUserSettings.ini and restart the computer.
  • Open the Steam client and press Library to see all installed games.
  • Right click on PUBG and select Properties.
  • In Properties, go to the Local Files tab and click on the Check Integrity of Game Filesoption. Steam will then begin checking all existing files against the existing main manifest. If a file is missing or damaged, it is downloaded again and replaced.
  • Go to Settings by tapping the Settings option after clicking Steam, in the bottom left corner of the screen. Once you are in the settings, open the Downloads tab on the left side of the interface.
  • Here you will see a field labeled Steamfolder library. Click with the mouse
  • All information on vapour content is given. Right click on it and select Fix Library Files.

Disabling the NVIDIA GeForceExperience

If you have an NVIDIA card and the experimental features are enabled, this may be the cause of the problem. Try disabling this feature and then see if the problem occurs.

  • Open the GeForce application,
  • Click on icon – gear at the top of the screen.
  • In the settings, clear the Enable Experimental Functions check box. You may need to upgrade your GeForce experience.
  • Save and Exit Changes.
  • Restart the computer .

Disable anti-virus software

Your computer’s anti-virus software may be causing this problem. To check if this is the culprit, you can try disabling the antivirus software temporarily.

Avast

  • Right-click on the avast! icon in the system tray. Select Screen Control for avast! and you will be given the option to disable avast for 10 minutes, 1 hour, until the computer is restarted, or permanently.

Bit guard

  • Double-click on the system icon for Bit Defender.
  • When the Bit Defender window appears, move the mouse pointer to the left and click on >> Virus Shield.
  • Move the mouse pointer over the black marker Virus Shield and click the mouse button.
  • Black work becomes red, >> Virus Shield disabled.
  • Move the mouse pointer to the upper right corner and click on the down arrow.
  • The bit protector is now inactive.
  • To activate Bit Defender, follow the same steps as for activation.

Microsoft Security Essentials

  • Right-click on the MSE icon in the taskbar and select Open.
  • Click the Settings tab, and then click Real-time Security.
  • Clear the check box next to Enable real time security.
  • Press Save changes .
  • Number MSE on completion.

ESET

  • Double-click the icon in the taskbar to open the main window of the application.
  • Or via Start >> All programs >> ESET >> ESET Smart Security.
  • Click Configuration >> Antivirus and Antispyware >> Temporarily disable antivirus and antispyware protection.
  • When asked to confirm the temporary stop, select Yes..
  • Note : Protection starts automatically after a system reboot.

McAfee

  • Go to the system tray in the lower right corner and find the McAfee icon.
  • Right mouse button -> select Exit.
  • A pop-up window warns you that security will now be disabled. Press Yes to turn off virus protection.

Check if PUBG is stuck in the loading screen.

If the problem is still not resolved, consider the following steps.

  • Get the latest driver update for your graphics card.
  • Reboot Modem/Router.
  • Stop BES services with Task Manager. We know this creates problems for gambling.
  • Disable the Windows firewall or add an exception for Steam and PUBG.
  • Disable overclocking of your CPU and GPU.
