Sims 4 is a very popular life simulation video game originally released in 2014. In this game, the player controls a simulator and controls different aspects of his life. Although it is a reliable game, sometimes you may encounter certain problems. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series, we look at the issue of The Sims 4 not opening in Window 10.

What to do if Sims 4 doesn’t run on Windows 10

Before performing any of the troubleshooting steps recommended below, it is best to completely restart the computer. This action refreshes the operating system and removes any temporary corrupted data that may be causing the problem.

Several factors can cause this particular problem, from a corrupted game file to a problem with the graphics driver. Below are the recommended troubleshooting steps to follow to resolve this issue.

Remove accident reports from the Sims 4 folder

The first thing to do in this case is to delete two files, lastCrash.txt and lastException.txt . Lastexception.txt files are created when an error occurs in the game code. When this error occurs, the game does not crash, it just means that something unexpected happened during the game.  Lastcrash.txt files are created when a game fails and are used to diagnose errors that occur on the user’s computer.

  • Navigate to C:The Sims 4 .
  • Locate and delete the files lastCrash.txt and lastException.txt .

Make sure Sims 4 doesn’t work anymore.

frequently asked questions

Why won’t Origin let me play Sims 4?

point Origin won’t let me play Sims 4 – if you have mods, move the mods folder on the desktop, delete the localthumbcache. file in the game folder. Also delete all folders with the word cache in their name and try to start the game. – If that doesn’t work either, see if your firewall is blocking the game.

What do you do when your Sims 4 doesn’t work?

Try the game without your user mode/content. To do this, go to Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 4 and move the Mods folder to your desktop. Then open the game again and see if it works. If this is the case, it means that at least one of your mods is not compatible with the updated game and needs to be updated/deleted.

Why isn’t my Sims 4 working?

Re : Sims 4 doesn’t work properly Activate the game to create a new empty mod folder. Check if the game now works without mods. If you don’t have mods, delete the localthumbcache. package from the game folder and fix the game in Origin as well.
