League of Legends is one of the most popular online multiplayer fighting games, developed by Riot Games and available for both Windows and MacOS platforms. In this game, players control the champion and fight against the opponent’s team with the main objective of destroying their band. While it is a solid piece, there are instances where Windows 10 may have some issues that we are going to look at today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series, we examine the League of Legends black screen in Windows 10.

Restart the computer before performing any of the recommended troubleshooting actions below. This action refreshes the operating system and removes any temporary corrupted data that may be causing the problem.

Several factors can cause this particular problem, ranging from a scaling issue to an outdated driver. Below are the recommended troubleshooting steps to follow to resolve this issue.

Try turning off the display scale.

The screen scaling feature works by adjusting the size of text, icons and navigation elements to make the computer easier to view and use. When enabled, this feature can sometimes interfere with League of Legends. Therefore, you should try to disable it to eliminate the possibility of this factor causing a problem.

  • Right click on the pitcher League of Legends .
  • Go to Properties, then Compatibility.
  • Check Disable display scale for high DPI settings.
  • Check Run as administrator
  • Turn off compatibility mode .

Try to see if the black screen problem is still occurring in League of Legends.
