Bluestacks is one of the most popular emulators that allows you to run Android applications on your Windows 10 computer. This allows everyone to play their favorite Android mobile games on the PC. Although it is a software with reliable performance, sometimes there can be problems, such as B. if it is slow. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series, we’ll show you how to make Bluestacks work faster on Windows 10.

Restart the computer before performing any of the recommended troubleshooting actions below. This action refreshes the operating system and removes the corrupted temporary data that could be causing the problem.

Several factors can cause Bluestacks to be slow, ranging from an outdated version of the application to a lack of RAM. Below are the recommended troubleshooting steps to follow to resolve this issue.

Blue battery update

The first thing you need to do is make sure you are using the latest version of Bluestacks. New versions of the software usually contain several performance improvements that make them better than the old version.

  • Click on the Gear icon in the top right corner of the BlueStacks screen and click on Settings.
  • Click on the tab About and then click on Check for Updates .
  • BlueStacks will check for an update, click Download Update if the button becomes available.
  • BlueStacks Updater will start downloading the latest available version.
  • When the download is complete, another window will appear. Click Install Now to install the downloaded version of BlueStacks. You can also select Install at next boot if you want to install at the next boot.
  • Press the Launch button to start playing the updated version of BlueStacks.

Allocate more RAM for Bluestacks

The more memory you give to Bluestacks, the better the performance will be. The minimum amount of RAM required for this software is 2 GB. So, if you can increase it, you will enjoy improved performance while playing your favorite Android games.

  • Open the BlueStacksemulator.
  • Press the Settings button in the top right corner of BlueStacks to open the menu.
  • Select Settings to open a window with additional software options.
  • Click the Engine tab on the left side of the settings window.
  • You can drag the memory bar to the right to increase the memory allocated by BlueStacks. Slide the bar to the right to increase the amount of RAM to 4096 MB (about four GB) if your laptop or desktop computer has eight GB of RAM or more.
  • Users can also select additional processor cores for BlueStacks. Choose the highest number from the CPU Core drop-down menu.

See if the speed improves.

Disable antivirus

One of the most common reasons why Bluestacks is slow is that you are using anti-virus software. To see if this is the cause of the problem, try disabling it.

If you are using Windowsprotection

  • Select StartupSettings > Update and SecurityWindows SecurityAntivirus and Threat Protection > Control Settings
  • Set the real-time protection to OFF.

If you are using Avast.

  • Find the Avast icon in your computer’s system tray and right-click on it.
  • Click Avast Control Panels.
  • Look for options to disable the program – the options are to disable the program for 10 minutes, an hour until you restart the computer, or permanently (until you turn it back on yourself). Choose the option that suits you best, and then disable the program.

When using the AVG

  • Find the AVG icon in your computer’s system tray and right-click on it.
  • Press to temporarily disable AVG protection.
  • Select how long you want AVG to shut down and whether you want AVG to shut down the firewall as well.
